Wendy Liebman
Wendy Liebman grew up in East Hills, New York, where she starred in the school musicals. Her mother said she was always funny — her lemonade stand had a two-drink minimum. After college she was planning on becoming a therapist, but instead she went into therapy. And stand-up comedy.
Since then, she has performed on Carson, Letterman, Leno, Fallon, Kimmel, Rosie, Ferguson, and @midnight, and at colleges, benefits, events, and in comedy clubs throughout North America and England. In 1997 the American Comedy Awards presented her with Best Female Stand-up Comedian.
Wendy has starred in specials for HBO, Showtime, and Comedy Central, and was a Semi-Finalist on NBC’s America’s Got Talent (she was Howard Stern’s wildcard pick). Her first hour, “Wendy Liebman: Taller On TV” is available on Amazon. In 2021 she appeared on Showtime’s “Even More Funny Women Of A Certain Age.”
Wendy currently lives in West Hills, California, with her husband Jeffrey Sherman, and two rescued Jindo dogs, Jemma and Jackson, who do not like Wendy’s cooking.
